Classic Cheesecake

A rich and creamy traditional cheesecake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Crust Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 125g butter
  • 150g sugar
  • 2 eggs + 2 yolks
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Cheese Filling Ingredients

  • 1kg quark cheese (or ricotta)
  • 4 yolks
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour (or 50ml milk)
  • 2 tablespoons budyń powder (vanilla pudding powder)
  • 0.5 tablespoon oil
  • 1.5 cups milk (slightly less if using pudding powder)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare the crust by mixing all the crust ingredients together until smooth. Press the dough into the bottom of a baking pan.
  2. For the cheese filling, mix all the filling ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Pour the filling over the crust.
  3. Bake for 1 hour at 180°C. After baking, you can spread the beaten egg whites (from the leftover 4 eggs) mixed with 4 tablespoons of sugar on top of the cheesecake.
