
Gingerbread Cookies
Traditional gingerbread cookies, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 100g butter
- 1 medium egg (plus 1 yolk for brushing)
- Approx. 3 tablespoons warm milk
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients to form a smooth dough.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 5mm.
- Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
- Brush with the egg yolk and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
